What does it really mean to “design a life you love”? At Be Sharp, we believe it starts with one simple idea: you are powerful. You are a creator. You are responsible for your own transformation. This blog isn’t just a list of inspiring mantras—it’s a call to action to live with bold intention, self-love, and purpose.
These foundational Be Sharp principles are meant to challenge the status quo, unlock your creativity, and empower you to build a life that reflects your values, passions, and potential. Let’s dive into the journey of becoming your best, most aligned self.
The 9 Core Be Sharp Principles
1. You Are Powerful
Every decision, thought, and action you take (or don't take, for that matter) sends out a ripple. You are not just a passive observer—you are a force of change.
-
Own your decisions
-
Use your voice intentionally
-
Understand your energy impacts others
These videos below make this truth undeniable - You ARE Powerful, and every decision you make matters:
2. You Are Creative
Creativity isn’t just about art—it’s your superpower to bring thoughts into reality. Creativity is a gift, and it is what sets us apart from other creatures on earth. Isn't it awe-inspiring that we can take a simple thought, and from that, create something from nothing?! If that's not magic, I don’t know what is. We are creatures meant to manifest what it is we are dreaming of. Creativity is a muscle; the more you use it, the stronger it gets. So create and create often, and this will start you down the path of becoming who you were meant to be.
-
Dream it, design it, create it

Creativity is a muscle—use it daily

3. You Are Creating Reality
Whether you realize it or not, you’re shaping your life and the world. Each day we are co-creating the world that we all live in, whether we mean to or not. Do it intentionally, because as you are both powerful and magical, it also means that you are responsible. Choose to do it with purpose. It does make a difference. You make a difference. So start doing that thing that lights you up because ~
"You have to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world." ~ Oprah Winfrey
-
Co-create consciously
-
Every small act matters
-
The world becomes better because of your contribution
Some ideas to think about when creating reality:
4. You Are Responsible for Your Life
Understand that you are ultimately responsible for where you are in your life right now. Each decision you have made has led you to where you are right now. That is hard to hear for many, but it is true. The good news is, you can also change your reality. Are you happy? Are you where you want to be? If not, will you change it? It’s empowering to realize you are exactly where your decisions have led you—and that you can change course anytime.
-
Own your current reality
-
Take aligned action
-
You hold the pen to rewrite your story
Will You Change it?!
5. Stop Caring What Other People Think
Don't let what other people think hold you back from chasing your dreams. No one else is meant to have the same experiences as you, no one else is meant to do what you are meant to, and no one can understand the ideas that live inside you like you can. We are all born unique and different for a reason, so don't let the fears and ideas of others hold you back from becoming who you were meant to be.
Those who are successful are the ones who can make decisions for themselves and not surrender them to the influence of other people:
"The majority of people who fail to accumulate money sufficient for their needs, are, generally, easily influenced by the "opinions" of others. They permit the newspapers and the "gossiping" neighbors to do their "thinking" for them. "Opinions" are the cheapest commodities on earth. Everyone has a flock of opinions ready to be wished upon anyone who will accept them. If you are influenced by "opinions" when you reach DECISIONS, you will not succeed in any undertaking, much less in that of transmuting YOUR OWN DESIRE into money." — Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich
Others’ opinions are not your truth. Your path is yours alone.
-
Trust your intuition
-
Make decisions for you
-
Remember: “Opinions are the cheapest commodities on Earth” – Napoleon Hill

6. Love Yourself
Learn to love yourself. This might be the hardest principle. Treat yourself as you would the one you most love in your life. Do this by how you talk to yourself, how you nourish yourself, how you feed yourself, and so on. Know that this is an ongoing practice, and when you slip up, that's okay; you need to be patient with yourself, as this is also a part of loving yourself. But to create a life that you love, you will need to learn how to love yourself, or you will never get there.
If you want to create a life you love, it must start with how you treat yourself.
-
Practice self-compassion
-
Talk to yourself with kindness
-
Nourish your body, soul, and mind
7. The Universe Is Talking to You
Follow it. The whisper, the deja vu, the connections, the curiosities, the ideas, the things that give you energy. They are slowly leading you down your path, even if it's not what you thought it would be. Follow the breadcrumbs, follow your curiosities, and eventually, have faith because as long as you follow the path, you will find your way. You will find where you can add value, while being yourself, and doing something you love.
Pay attention to the synchronicities. Your curiosities are breadcrumbs.
-
Follow your energy
-
Lean into what excites you
-
Trust the journey, even if it doesn’t look like the plan
8. Suffering = Expectations vs. Reality
Remember, not everything will turn out how you expected/hoped it would. Find solace in the fact that maybe it was never meant to be, and lean into what it could be instead. Let the old expectations go; this will only cause you suffering. The world is, how it is, in this moment in time, and holding onto what you thought it should be, instead of what it actually is, is futile. All suffering comes from our expectations of how we thought we wanted things to turn out, or what would make us happy, versus what is. Learning to lean into what is, and work with our environment, with the obstacles, and with change, will alleviate suffering. Try altering your thoughts from "I don't deserve this" or "it's unfair" to "the universe is always acting on my behalf, I am right where I am meant to be". We all had terrible experiences, where at the time, we thought we would never make it through, but later on, in hindsight, we learned that it was the best thing that could have ever happened to us! ~ The Universe is working in your favor, go with the flow and not against the current! ~ Most pain comes from clinging to what “should have been.” Learn to surrender to what is.
-
Let go of outdated expectations
-
Reframe challenges as lessons
-
Align with the flow of life
So what, then, is "Be Sharp" to me?:
9. Be Sharp
Be Sharp is a journey. A journey to take responsibility for my life and the outcomes that I have generated as a consequence of my decisions thus far. It's a decision to start from where I am and to proactively and intentionally design a life that I love by continuously striving for progress, personal growth, and to find how I may add value to the world.
It's a platform meant to support other women to do the same by providing resources and the virtual mentors necessary to create the change, as most of us do not have access to people who force us to up-level in our everyday lives. It's a place to share ideas, different ways of thinking, and to challenge the status quo. I hope that by giving myself the permission to seek out a different way, it might inspire some others to do so as well.
Be Sharp is a community or an environment where women support other women with the ultimate goal of a better whole, instead of a larger piece, while still creating abundance and a life fulfilled. To co-create the world that we want to see, with kindness and the ability to be ourselves instead of having to "play" a role to succeed.
It's an idea that we are all creators and that we should try to instill creativity and magic in our lives. To just make it. Make those ideas come to life; they came to you for a reason. Whatever you create in this world is what is uniquely meant for you. I believe that creativity is what will help you find yourself. Creativity is not just for artists; it's about creating a better world. It's using your powers.
It's a journey to fulfill my own curiosities, passions, and questions. It's a journey to add value, to consistently learn, to become my best, to design my life, to be unapologetically me, to BE SHARP.
Come with me.
This is your invitation to design a life you love—with creativity, intention, and purpose.
-
Take responsibility
-
Grow constantly
-
Add value through your unique gifts
Closing Thoughts
